This article comes from Kelly Hubbard, our County’s tea party grassroots activist who evaluated the Presidential candidates until recently. His insights were well received by several tea party groups in Orange County where he gave presentations.
From now through June 5th, I’m going to be highlighting the most
important local races and my recommendations for the June 5th primary.
One of the more interesting races going on in Orange County is the
race for the newly formed 45th Congressional District.
The 45th includes the cities of: Laguna Hills, Laguna Woods, Irvine, Tustin,
Villa Park, Mission Viejo, Lake Forest, Rancho Santa Margarita, Cote
De Coza, and portions of Orange and Anaheim. John Campbell is the
current GOP Congressman from the 48th. He is now running for
re-election in the new 45th.
Rep.Campbell likes to call himself a staunch conservative, but his record in recent years reflect the typical establishment liberal republican politician. Congressman
Campbell has consistently voted on the wrong side on many important
issues! His voting record and his actions don’t reflect the views or
the concerns of constituents.
One of the more disturbing votes in recent times was his vote to
repeal the ‘Don’t Ask, Don’t Tell’
policy, to prevent homosexuals from openly flaunting their lifestyle
in our nation’s armed forces. Campbell sided with Obama and the
extreme left on this issue and voted to have this ban lifted.
Campbell also has a history of coming down on the wrong side of some very
important fiscal issues. In the Fall of 2008, Rep. Campbell voted for
the huge Wall Street Bank Bailouts, also known as TARP. In addition,
he was one of the few republican Congressmen to vote for Obama’s
failed ‘Cash for Clunkers’ program. Let’s also not forget that
Campbell agreed with Nancy Pelosi and other leftists to have our
nation’s debt ceiling raised. Do you remember that?
Another one of John Campbell’s more disturbing votes was his vote on the STOCK Act.
This STOCK Act prevented members of Congress from the unethical
insider trading practices that has resulted in many of our politicians
becoming instantly wealthy while serving in Congress. This scandal was
revealed in the book: “Throw Them All Out.” Congressman Campbell was
one of only two individuals in the entire Congress to vote against
this important piece of legislation! That vote caused many to wonder
if Campbell was in favor of members of Congress being able to
illegally use information obtained in Congress to trade stocks and
doing other unethical dealings.
Congressman Campbell has a long and
very disturbing history of voting outside what his constituents would
find acceptable! He was confronted once about why he votes against the
wishes of his conservative constituents and he responded with a very
condescending comment about how his constituents really don’t
understand the complex issues he faces. Oh, really?! I think it’s
Congressman Campbell who doesn’t understand things!
It’s become
increasingly obvious that John Campbell really doesn’t care about what
conservatives back home think! That is why Campbell has refused to
hold any Town Hall Meetings in his district in at least a year and he
seems to have made his primary residence in Washington D.C.!
It’s time we send a message to establishment out-of-touch politicians like
John Campbell! His actions and his liberal voting record have been
tolerated far too long! The good people of the newly formed 45th
Congressional District deserve solid conservative representation and
not more of the same!
John Webb is the conservative choice in the 45th!
Webb is a local businessman, former Marine, and former police
detective, who has served his country and his community with honor for
many years!
John Webb is committed to serving the good people of the 45th with integrity and respect! He’s an honest Christian family man
and a solid Tea Partier! When John Webb goes to Congress, you can be
assured that he’ll listen to his constituents and hear their concerns!
John Webb is man we can trust to vote consistent with our constitution
and our conservative values!
He can’t be bought off or in anyway be corrupted by the establishment
ways in Washington D.C.!
Webb will vote to make California and the 45th district golden again by keeping taxes
low and pushing government out of the way so businesses can prosper!
Webb would never vote to raise our debt ceiling and he doesn’t believe
government should be bailing out anyone or anything! John Webb is a
man we can trust to represent our conservative values in Congress!
On June 5th, I encourage you and others that you know who may live in the
45th to vote for a true conservative constitutionalist: John Webb!
On June 5th, I encourage you to reject the liberal ways of John Campbell
and send a message to the republican establishment!
With this new top
two primary system that we have now, John Webb is going to need more
than just your vote to win! There is a Democrat in this race as well!
I encourage you to not only tell everyone you know in the 45th
district about John Webb, but also consider volunteering for his
campaign! His campaign needs conservative boots on the ground to
become successful!

this very week! It’s crucial we get active and get involved in these
