Has God Abandoned the United States of America?

Has God Abandoned the United States of America?[i]

by Cathy Richardson, Co-Founder South Orange County 912

I don’t want to believe it, but my conclusion is the sooner we KNOW that He has and stop sugar-coating this fact with quips like “He’s still on the throne” and a myriad of others, the better off we will be.  Mainly because, we will then know how to fight and where to put our energies in order to win![ii]

God has abandoned America as a nation[iii] because as a nation we voted against righteousness and have been for quite a while.  We voted to kill babies and voted to impose immoral debt upon future generations, and all those other things in between and around those two concepts.  In other words, as a nation we promote wickedness or Satan’s agenda to kill, steal and destroy.[iv]

As a nation we’ve allowed ourselves to be deceived, believing in social justice, environmental justice, etc. or the redistribution of all things.  We also allowed ourselves to be deceived, believing in diversity or those things which divide us.  Class warfare and ethnic warfare along with special interests promote pride, jealousy, blame and unforgiveness or simply hatred.

The concept of redistribution necessarily means the “pie” of wealth or resources is limited, needing to be divided (redistributed) among an ever-increasing population providing each person with less and less rather than understanding the true nature of things — that wealth and resources are unlimited and can be created.

These changes in perception and attitude which are so deeply entrenched in our nation at every bastion of hope (checks and balances in government, the bill of rights, institutions of education, the media as our watchdog, even some think tanks, institutions of medicine, science etc.) has resulted in great human suffering.

As a nation, God cannot and will not raise his arm[v] to protect or bless us as a nation if we are adamant in producing or continue to produce great human suffering.[vi]  It goes against his identity.  He will, however, protect and bless us as a nation when we return to Him as a nation or when His people “who are called by my name humble themselves . . . .”[vii]

We must strive above all else to put the first four commandments front and center as a nation!

[i]  This essay is mainly written for believers (including those believers that voted for Obama) and those Christians and Jews not fully convinced or conservatives truly desiring liberty.  It is not necessarily written for atheists or progressives who just want to criticize or resort to being a bully.  Therefore, you need not comment.

[ii]  To believe that we can win without God and his principles to lead us is to be arrogant and prideful.  Isaiah 9:9-10.  “. . . who say with pride and arrogance of heart, 10 ‘The bricks have fallen down, but we will rebuild with dressed stone; the fig trees have been felled, but we will replace them with cedars.’”

[iii] Please don’t misunderstand me. God will never abandon those who are called His children. I’m addressing the nation of America as a whole in this essay.

[iv]  By the way, to kill, steal and destroy are not too dissimilar to the tenets of the pseudo religion of Islam.

[v]  Although it states in Isaiah 9 and 10 in several places that “Yet for all this, his anger is not turned away,
his hand is still upraised,” what God speaks of here is his covenant promise with Abraham, Isaac and Jacob in old testament times and his new testament covenant promise of redemption and salvation for the individual.

[vi]  As Isaiah 9: 13 – 17 states:  “13 But the people have not returned to him . . . Therefore the Lord will take no pleasure in the young men, nor will he pity the fatherless and widows . . . .”  Worth reading all of Isaiah 9 and 10.

[vii] 2 Chronicles 7:14.  “. . .if my people, who are called by my name, will humble themselves and pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven, and I will forgive their sin and will heal their land.”

The main problem is urban and suburban changed. Oc voted more Republcian when it had less large cities-2 over 300,000 more poorer and foreign born. OC is 30 percent foreign born only 16 when Reagan won big here. Get rid of chain migration which is the legal changes under Ted KJennedy.

The term Redistribution includes taxes, social security, medicare and the money donated to the Church. As a society we have always helped the poor and the government has never been solely responsible for helping the wealthy get wealthier.

God has abandoned the selfish and greedy as well as those who do not welcome those seeking shelter and those who do not share our beliefs. How far are you willing to turn back time? Our founding fathers were already there when Orange County was a Spanish colony and you were welcomed and given shelter in by the Spanish and Native American residents.

Thank you Al for your comments. You are exactly who we need to communicate with and have discussion. Please understand that we have a common enemy and it is not each other, but our corrupt Congress and government. They are pitting us against each other because it serves them well. As long as we are divided, they can continue on their merry corrupt ways and pocket our money as they either extract more in taxes or simply borrow or print more money. Yes, yours and mine. Divide and conquer, class warfare, is exactly what Hitler used to gain absolute power in Germany. He got his people to hate and to blame the Jews and eventually Christians for all that ails the common man (poor and middle class) in Germany.

Most conservative Americans understand the plight of the poor and the Hispanics who crossed our borders without permission and most are sympathetic. Most conservative Americans do not agree with and dislike mistreatment of the poor or Hispanics both back in early America, last century and now. When I was a high school girl back in the 1970s I came up with a brilliant idea to help these Hispanics. I could see that many were crossing the border because they had no choice as there were no jobs in Mexico. They left families behind to earn money in America. My brilliant idea was for America to have strings attached to the money/aid the USA gave Mexico or an incentive of more money to Mexico if their government improved the standard of living for the poor to average Mexican citizen. This would mean creating jobs or creating wealth and providing education. Mexico’s government was then and still is corrupt and uncaring toward her own citizens. The elitists in Mexico only care about their own wealth and family.

Even now Americans, the average citizen from poor to wealthy, are the most generous in the world. Part of being an American meant you take care of those in need. This is what the Bible teaches, too. However, God always talked to individuals to take on this responsibility, not government. Taxes are mandatory, meaning you go to jail if you don’t pay or are heavily fined. When the government starts to collect lots of money in taxes, corruption is the result. Why else are so many Congressmen/women millionaires? It is best to keep pools of money away from the government hands. Individually, they are not concerned about the “product” they are producing or improving yours or my family’s lives. They are not concerned about wasting money or paying someone too much because in their minds all they need to do is just tax the people more. Besides they gain friends in their corruption.

Churches and other non-profit organizations use to take care of the poor. Many people would voluntarily give to help others. This was the best way too, as it built relationships and improved family ties. This is part of the reason why America is and was so great. As government tries to take on this caring role and expands free or subsidizes services or entitlements, however, they have to increase taxes to pay for them. Instead of encouraging and helping businesses to grow so that they naturally collect more taxes on the growth and the wealth created by more jobs, they restrict and control businesses on what they can do and they also tax them more. This causes businesses to reduce or maintain their number of workers. Then we all lose out, except for the politicians who don’t care about you or me. They get their money keeping a bit for themselves, giving some out for their friends and pet programs, gaining corrupt friends and allies along the way.

They do this by dividing us – both sides – telling us who is to blame for their lot in life, promoting hatred, jealousy and contempt. They tell us who should pay and can pay more and what past deeds justifies all of this unforgiveness. As the Bible teaches and as we really should know, both sides should be thankful for the blessings we have. Both sides should forgive and then work together to foster growth and development for all without as much aid of the corrupt government as possible. The more we shrink government, the better off we will all be. Government is force and no matter which side you are on, we lose when government gets more money from us, or borrows or prints more money. We are $16 Trillion in debt. And, that does not take into account social security, etc. Just the $16 Trillion is truly an impossible debt to pay back. The politicians are digging all of us into a hole, digging more middle class Americans into poverty, killing job creation and innovation, and jeopardizing our national security as a result.

The greatest men in history are men and women who in spite of their lot in life they made it. In fact, their lot in life many times was their main motivation. Journalists and our government are telling both of us lies so they can keep us exactly where they want us to be . . . in need of their favor and blessing, at their mercy. Take a look at Detroit, Michigan. So much entitlement money and social programs were spent in Detroit to no avail. Take a look at our public schools. No matter how much money is put into our public schools, we have reached a point where no improvements can be made simply because the improvements needed are by law against the law. Conservatives Americans want job/business growth and better public education for all. We know this is the key to a better standard of living and future happiness for all. However, if we allow the government to favor one side over another, then only division results, no matter how any one side might justify it. Diversity training and talk of social justice or redistribution of wealth only vividly outlines our differences and promotes hatred, jealous, blame and unforgiveness on both sides. The people on both sides lose and only the corrupt politicians along with their corporate cronies win.

God told us to be as “shrewd as snakes” (wise) and “as gentle as doves” (loving). (Matthew 10:16). We are fast becoming neither of these. We are believing in the lies of rewritten history and propaganda in the news hardening our hearts. We are failing to research the truth only concerned with our lot in life and gain. God also tells us in Isaiah 58:6 “to loose the chains of injustice.” There is injustice on both sides. We need to come together against our true enemy, the corrupt government and corrupt politicians and know our commonality. Only then will WE THE PEOPLE, all Americans, win. We win our life, liberty and pursuit of happiness, i.e. freedom.

Did you know almost all our TVs/radios and household appliances all used to be made right in our own country? All the money we spent were going towards our country NOT China until the 1990s.

Then it was half and half for several years whereyou could by Made In China for a cheaper price but cheaper quality or Made In America for a slightly higher price but much better quality materials that lasted MUCH longer.

Wow! Catherine, you have once again shown me that the pen is mightier than the sword.
At least for now, because in my opinion, you just hit the nail on the head.

  5. Al Alvarez says:

Are we just going to ignore the fact that taxes are the lowest they have been since 1950, that government spending is at the lowest level since the Nixon administration, that private sector wealth is at the highest level since the Clinton administration and the church is spending most of its money lobbying politicians instead of helping the poor?

Contrary to modern revisionists, Sodom and Gomorrah were not destroyed due to sodomy. They were destroyed for failing to welcome immigrants in need. Mexico has more social programs that the US does. It is just a poorer country.

We are a sick society. But our government is the least of our problems.

  6. cynthia curran says:

Well, Mexico has aerospace factories and Car factoies Mexico can develop more. Granted, its the poor rural areas that come to the us not the places that have aerospace factories. We in California have the poor Central Valley and Texas has the Rio Grande Valley, are poor in farm areas have it tough and Mexico takes away low skilled factory work since wages are lower than the US.

  7. Catch22 says:

I can’t believe people STILL haven’t figured it out. Diversity means being diverse and being diverse means you cannot come to a moral agreement on how things should be ran.

If the government has no moral values then how do you expect them to govern things fairly as to them they have nothing to lose by stealing or cheating at the expense of the people.

How hard is that to figure out? This diversity is nothing but *feel good* tactics designed to cause people to pit against each other so the government can slap more laws to take away freedom and people fall for it hook line and sinker because people thumb their nose at moral values.

You do not have to believe in God to have moral values of “Thou shalt not steal”

From what I’ve understand Jesus is meant to be more of a conscience effect or toher wise YOU are no better then the Pharisees that eventually put Jesus to death as well as other people who followed him.

In the ancient Roman times they would put wax over Christians and light them on fire just for fun and also made them fight starved animals in an arena known as the Roman Colosseum.

I personally think that Jesus is actually Lucifer separate of the devil as in the bible Jesus mentions he is the morning star which is the name given to Lucifer which means light bearer.

You can’t be a light bearer and a dark bearer at the same time or you’re turning darkness into light which it’s no longer dark as light is more powerful.

Eventually these bottom 1 percent goons like the Jewish bankers controlling things are going to fall on themselves like a house of cards.

  8. Bushblewhischance says:

When 9/11 happened we can REAL close to the 2008 depression but Bush lowered taxes on the poor and middle class encouraging them to spend money which brought a rebound back to the economy keeping is just barely hanging.

What George Bush should have done was lower the taxes on businesses and manufacturing to encourage industry in the United States but did he do that? NO!

He should’ve passed Anti Trust bills to prevent monopolies from forming where companies own other companies like how Disney is owned by I think either ABC or NBC tv stations which are also owned by either a bank or an insurance company.

Did he pass those anti trust bills to prevent monopolies so companies will have a healthy chance at competition instead of a big company screwing around the little guys like you and me?

  9. Bushblewhischance says:

Edit. I meant to say that when 9/11 happened we almost dived into a deep depression but George Bush lowered taxes on the poor encouraging them to spend more which helped keep the economy going.

However it didn’t do enough to raise the economy because laws were still in effect that discouraged industry like automobile making/cloth making and electronics from ever entering the states.

Reply to Bob. The tea party talks of what is right and wrong and what is legal. It sees no color or national origin, or religion, only that you be an American and respect her laws and those that sacrificed to bring us freedom and liberty, the right to pursue happiness. Minorities do not get to rule and get their way, just because they are minorities, nor should majorities rule. It’s the rule of law that rules, and the fact that the citizens of America and their respective states are the rulers, not the federal government or our representatives.

SCRIPTURE OF THE DAY – Deuteronomy 4:29-31 (NIV)

"But if from there you seek the Lord your God, you will find him if you look for him with all your heart and with all your soul. When you are in distress and all these things have happened to you, then in later days you will return to the Lord your God and obey him. For the Lord your God is a merciful God; he will not abandon or destroy you or forget the covenant with your forefathers, which he confirmed to them by oath." 3-7-16

QUOTE OF THE DAY: Donald Trump from”Crippled America” (Posted on 3-7-16)

"But then I realized I couldn't stand what I was seeing. I couldn't believe the hypocrisy and inaction of Washington 'insiders' who wanted to keep the gravy train flowing in their direction, while outside the beltway, Americans were suffering and they were rightfully angry about the lack of leadership and creativity. . . . It begins by creating millions of good jobs for hardworking Americans."
