The Tea Party candidate in the Nebraska GOP Senate Primary Ben Sasse is about to send D.C. insiders a wake-up call today! On the very day of his primary, the latest polls have Sasse opening up a huge 14% point lead! It was reported that Karl Rove’s American Crossroads Group as well as many outside establishment forces have spent upwards of almost $3 million on attacks ads against Sasse during this primary! They have done everything from lying about his record, to casting doubt on whether he truly is against Obamacare!
The establishment is terrified of Sasse because of his commitment to adhere to the constitution and his commitment to shake up the status-quo when he gets in! After today’s primary, Sasse should have no problem winning in the general against the Democrat in November! Nebraska is a safe republican state and Nebraskans generally vote very conservative and tend to pick statesmen to represent them in Washington!
With all the talk recently by the media and by Rove types that the Tea Party is dead because of the Brannon loss in last week’s North Carolina Senate Primary, hopefully tonight’s results will put to rest many of these false narratives and restore some confidence in Tea Partiers! One single loss in North Carolina doesn’t mean the Tea Party has lost it’s mojo and it certainly doesn’t mean that the Grassroots have fallen asleep!
It’s important to realize that establishment forces must defend at least a half a dozen of their candidates in these Senate primaries throughout the country! As we’re about to find out today, it will be impossible for the establishment to win every one of them! They will get their clock cleaned today and let’s hope and pray for more Tea Party victories to come! Perhaps the biggest of all Tea Party challenges will happen next week in Kentucky! Matt Bevin’s challenge to Mitch McConnell is ground zero for all Tea Party challenges this year and it will represent a huge wake-up call to the permanent political class in Washington! Stay tuned! Ben Sasse for U.S. Senate! Read below.
