This close to the election, less than two days away, local conservative activists and voters in general, still have serious questions regarding Don Wagner’s true views on immigration and his real intentions behind a 2013 letter that he signed advocating for full-blown amnesty for illegal aliens.
In case you’re one of the very few that hasn’t heard, Assemblyman Don Wagner was one of 15 GOP state legislators who signed a letter urging the California GOP Congressional delegation to push Speaker Boehner to pass amnesty legislation, or as it is stated in the letter, “to encourage Speaker Boehner to call a vote on immigration reform.”
This letter was drafted and submitted to these Congressmen in late 2013 and it was sort of under the radar until local activists got a hold of it and outed two of our local Assemblymen who signed it.
You guessed it, Donald P. Wagner, the man who represents the very conservative 68th Assembly District and the same guy who is now running for State Senate, was one of the two local Assemblymen who were among the 15 signatories!
To this day, despite protests at his office and numerous attempts by conservative grassroots folks to hold him accountable, Wagner still refuses to admit that the letter was advocating for amnesty and won’t even apologize for his involvement in it! After a year in a half, Wagner still has not come to terms with the negative reaction that many have regarding the letter and he won’t even acknowledge that the letter was pushing for a pathway to citizenship for the estimated 10 million or so illegals that are here!
All one has to do is take a look at the letter and it will become crystal clear what the letter was stating and advocating for! To refresh your memory and for those who haven’t seen it yet, I’ve pasted a complete copy of the letter below, including Wagner’s signature at the end with the other GOP lawmakers.
It doesn’t take a Philadelphia lawyer to conclude that terms such as-“comprehensive immigration reform” and the phrase “undocumented residents to earn their way to full citizenship,” can only mean one thing and are clearly synonymous with amnesty!
Almost as disturbing as the letter itself, was Wagner’s reaction to those who were trying to raise awareness about it! The anti-amnesty group We The People Rising were among the very first to reveal this letter to the local public and have been holding Wagner’s feet to the fire about it ever since.
A few of them showed up at a Wagner event in Irvine last Spring. This event was held at Senior Citizen Center, which is a public facility. These folks were attempting to pass-out the letter to attendees and were doing so on a public sidewalk.
It has been well-reported and we have it on tape, that one of Wagner’s staffers, a person that has since been identified to me, a man by the name of Samuel Han, attempted to suppress the free-speech rights of these individuals and even tried to have them removed from public property! The Irvine Police were later called to the scene and sided with the activists for being well within their 1st amendment rights to be there, distributing the letter!
You can view the short video clip of Wagner’s staffer attempting to censor these folks below! Since this incident, no one from Wagner’s staff, including Mr. Han, or Wagner himself, have apologized for their reaction that day, which to say the least, was very unprofessional and completely out of line!
In addition to the video, I encourage you to look over the timeline of the letter courtesy of the same folks at We The People Rising on their website below! These are the same folks who have worked very hard, putting in many long hours trying to get Mr. Wagner to retract his involvement in the letter and to hold him accountable for signing it!
Congressman Dana Rohrabacher, one of many establishment cheerleaders for Don Wagner, likes to tell us how regretful Wagner is about the letter, even though we have absolutely no evidence from Wagner himself that this is the case!
If he is regretful and truly admits that the signing of the letter was a mistake, why not post a public apology on his website, or better yet, publish a retraction letter? In addition, why not apologize to his constituents for refusing to admit, for over a year now, that the letter was pushing amnesty and for lying to the voters about what the letter really states?
As we all know, Don Wagner now wants to be our next State Senator in the conservative 37th district. The question is, can we trust this man to listen to his constituents on this issue, or is the amnesty letter one more red flag that we can’t ignore?
I think it is obvious that Wagner, if elected to the State Senate and beyond, will likely take orders from the pro-amnesty big business lobby, that seek to push open borders and “immigration reform” on our country. We already know that Don Wagner will be beholden to the Unions and the Special Interests, as evidenced by the over $200,000 that they’ve spent so far on his behalf in this campaign!
The bottom line is this: Is Assemblyman Wagner the kind of politician we can trust to be tough on the issue of illegal immigration, or can we expect him to go beyond just signing a letter next time, to perhaps making his way to Congress one day to vote for the real deal? I think the answer to that is obvious!
I encourage you to watch the video below and read the letter for yourself! Also, please don’t forget to share it with others! There is a reason why grassroots Patriots all over Orange County don’t trust Donald Wagner and it goes far beyond just the amnesty letter, which is bad enough! This is a matter of trust! Can we really trust this man?
Conservatives in O.C. recognize that Don Wagner is nothing more than a stooge for the establishment and a Union-funded, pro-amnesty liberal Republican! Don’t we have enough of those kind of folks in Sacramento and in Washington today?
There is a much more conservative alternative in this race for State Senate and his name is John Moorlach! Unlike Wagner, John Moorlach would never sign a letter to Congress pushing for amnesty and we can trust Moorlach to stand for the rule of law, for our national sovereignty, and for a secured border!
Let’s vote for a man who will take-on the Unions and oppose the pro-amnesty lobby in Sacramento! Let’s vote for a true statesman this Tuesday on March 17th: John Moorlach for State Senate! Read and Watch below!
