I thought that local voters should know that once again their local GOP representatives have stabbed them in the backs and this time their votes will potentially affect the property rights of many for years to come.
Apparently, our newly elected Assemblywomen: Young Kim, who represents the Cypress/Buena Park area, and Ling Ling Chang, whose district goes into the Placentia/Yorba Linda areas of Orange County, both voted with other GOP traitors in the state Assembly to bring back redevelopment agencies to local cities.
This new bill (AB2) is disguising itself with a new name (Community Revitalization Investment Authority), but it has the same eminent domain powers and will be the same attack on private property rights to benefit crony developers as previous redevelopment agencies, which were abolished by the state Supreme Court a few years ago and with the help, believe it or not, of Jerry Brown.
This Ling Ling Chang woman, who was just elected to the state Assembly last year, and was the former Mayor of Diamond Bar, now wants to replace Bob Huff for that open state Senate seat next year.
Any Republican opponent of hers who does not use this vote against her should NOT be considered for the sheer stupidity of missing a golden opportunity!
This will definitely become an issue next year as Chang seeks to move up the political ladder after announcing her intentions to run for Senate after only serving a few months in the Assembly.
As far as Kim is concerned, I can’t tell you how disappointed I am in her and I now regret ever endorsing her for that open Assembly seat last year. I certainly had high hopes for this woman and now she has proven herself to be untrustworthy.
It has been a very disappointing couple of months regarding our local GOP Reps in Sacramento! Just a few weeks ago, we had south Orange County State Senator Pat Bates voting with the Dems to violate our second amendment rights, and then around the same time, Fountain Valley state Senator Janet Nguyen voted to abstain on giving free healthcare to illegals, and now this from two freshmen!
This illustrates the importance of properly vetting our candidates before they enter office! Shame on Ling Ling Chang and Young Kim for their irresponsible votes! Read below!
