The American Principles in Action is a sister group to the American Principles Project, which is a conservative activist group on education and other issues.
Of Jindal, APP gave him top scores on the issue of Common Core and recently said about him: “quite frankly he is the Governor who has done the most to remove his state from Common Core.” They also referred to him as “genuine” on the issue.
Of course, unlike many of the other candidates, Jindal has actually done some substantive things to rid his state of CC, including being one of the few Republican Governors to actually sue the federal government to remove CC altogether in Louisiana.
It isn’t a surprise that Jeb Bush and John Kasich received failing grades from this organization.
I was somewhat surprised though that they gave Huckabee only a “C” grade, considering he was caught advocating for CC to a pro-CC group and urging them to re-brand it by changing the name. That of course deserves an “F” grade in my book!
Walker & Christie came the closest to a failing grade. Both men received a “D.”
As to be expected, Cruz and Paul received top marks on their opposition to CC and both men walked away with an A- grade.
I encourage you to share this info with others! Read below.
