Talk about your acts of desperation! To claim that Ted Cruz is soft on the moral issues is like claiming that Donald Trump is a bible-believing Christian!
There is nothing more ridiculous that has been said so far in this campaign and there is nothing more worthy to be called an out-right lie!
Rick Santorum and Mike Huckabee, who have a combined total of three percent in the national polls, are in their final death-throes as candidates. This is their way of grasping at anything they can get their hands on, just as someone dangling from a cliff will grasp at anything to survive!
It can not be overstated how absurd a claim like this is! We are suppose to believe that the same man who has championed religious liberty issues in the courts and in the halls of the Senate for years, and was the very first to call for retention elections and impeachment for Judges after the unconstitutional gay marriage ruling, is somehow inconsistent on these vital issues (abortion and marriage)!
I guess for Santorum, who once called Cruz “a bomb thrower” for attempting to defund Obamacare, the long road to the nomination wouldn’t be complete without making one last dishonest attempt to derail the Iowan front runner.
As for Huckabee, who claims to be against Common Core but was caught telling a pro-Common Core group recently to rebrand it by changing the name, this is perfectly consistent with how he has behaved from the beginning.
I supported both these men when the nomination was headed for another RINO in the 2008 and 2012 primaries, as I’m sure many of you did, but I wouldn’t even come close to supporting them again under any circumstances today!
Deliberately distorting what Ted Cruz said at a fundraiser and attempting to paint him as being pro-gay marriage is beyond the pale and really exposes especially Huckabee for being the phony that he is!
Remember, this is the same Huckabee who physically blocked Ted Cruz from a pro-Kim Davis event in Kentucky in an attempt to pander to evangelicals and appear as Kim Davis’ most ardent supporter.
At least Cruz doesn’t have a record of releasing killers and rapists from Arkansas prisons, under the guise of compassion, and defending that horrible judgement call even after many of those same criminals went on to murder and rape more people!
With regard to Santorum, at least Cruz never voted to expand Medicare which has and will continue to plunge this country in massive trillion dollar debt for decades to come!
I would expect more from these men of faith and I would expect at least a minimal level of honesty from folks who claim to be social conservatives! Lying about another candidates’ record is also not a value that Iowa voters share, as long as we’re on that topic!
It is interesting to see the reaction of these folks when they’ve lost the endorsements of Dr. Dobson, Bob Vander Plaats, The National Organization for Marriage, and Christian leaders throughout Iowa and the country!
In closing, if anyone still has doubts about Cruz’s position on the preservation of tradition values and defending biblical marriage, I encourage you to watch the short clip below! This interview was on Glenn Beck’s program and centered around the issue of gay marriage and public reaction to it. After watching this clip, there should be no doubt in any one’s mind about Cruz’s earnest and deeply passionate views on this very important issue! Watch below!
On a side note, in just these past two days, Cruz met with over 300 evangelical leaders in west Texas in a private closed door meeting. I’ve pasted information about that meeting below.
Rather than lashing out toward his opponents with dishonest attack ads, Cruz is doing the smart thing and laying the ground work to unite Christian conservatives behind his campaign. That is what’s called smart campaigning and it doesn’t reek of the kind of desperation that we are seeing from folks in the so-called bottom tier. Read and watch below! Ted Cruz for President!
